Thermal design

This is the system than will be in charge of maintaining our experiment at a constant temperature and will make its functioning possible.

During the flight, the system will be exposed to temperatures down to -80 ºC that could stop some components of the experiment from working. In the following graphic you can consult the evolution of the temperature during the flights of other BEXUS campaigns:

To prevent this, we will use an external structure that will protect the experiment. Moreover, we will have a feedback system composed of thermal resistors that will increase the temperature.

Our team is already working on a solution by carrying out simulations. When executing this simulations, we consider parameters such as the box dimension, the thickness of the glass or the quality of the insulation materials.
